“I’m not afraid of being an outsider. Outsiders are the ones who change the world.”
— Anthony Bourdain
WE WANT YOUR STORY.

MIRRORHOUSE lives to document the human essence of creation. We are a thought space, designed to preserve history, share the untold and explore lifestyles of the unapologetic, and unafraid.
We are eagerly looking for new writers and writing subjects. Either way, we want YOUR STORY.
ARTISTS
MIRRORHOUSE exists to document lives, practices, and perspectives that live untamed, and unobserved.
You might be an underground musician refining your latest project. A philosopher who never published. A train driver who draws landscapes. A paintball referee by day, Freemason by night. Titles are incidental. What matters to us is the internal world which concieves them.
We are not looking for work without identity or aesthetics without substance. We are drawn to radicals and mavericks, to work with internal logic, to projects shaped by obsession, solitude, discipline, or a defined worldview.
MIRRORHOUSE exists to observe and retain culture. A record of the fringe, the overlooked, the quietly transformative. We aim to preserve perspectives and movements before they are diluted, misread, or lost.
You do not need institutional validation. You do not need scale. But you must have direction. If your practice, lifestyle, or thinking feels true in spirit, we invite you to submit to MIRRORHOUSE.
WRITERS
MIRRORHOUSE publishes both excavation and observation. We welcome long-form essays, cultural analysis, theory, and considered storytelling. We also publish present-tense work: emerging artists, current industry tropes, cultural movements forming in obscure scenarios.
If you are connecting unlikely dots, interrogating the direction of a scene, documenting a subculture before it hardens, or reframing something overlooked, we want to read it.
A Top 10 can work. A prediction piece can work. A deep psychoanalytic study can work. But each must carry informed authorship, not imitation.
We are interested in thinking. Research is valued. Obsession is valued. Clarity is essential. If you are speculative, be deliberate. If you are critical, be precise. If you are celebratory, understand why.
It could be an over-50s hardstyle rave examined as ritual. A reconsideration of Lou Reed through psychology. A photobook analysis of a lone occultist. A meditation on plant life as architecture. Subject is secondary. Insight is primary.
No experience is required, but seriousness is. Half-formed commentary is of no use to us.
Submissions must be original and written by you. ChatGPT submissions will get you blacklisted.
If your writing documents culture as it forms, or preserves it before it disappears, it belongs in the MIRRORHOUSE.
